Acne is a kind of skin problem found in most of young people. It is formed due to the over-secretion of sebum which helps bacteria to develop over the skin. Acne problems can be noticed over face, arms, shoulders and at the back. Acne skin problems has to be treated with care, else it may lead to severe conditions. It is always advisable to consult with a dermatologist before you try to use acne skin products. Below are few tips for the people who are suffering with acne skin problems, to take care of their skin.

Gently Wash Skin:
Always try to wash your skin with a mild cleanser regularly in the morning and evening. Few people who are suffering with acne normally try to stop outbreaks and oil production by scrubbing their skin or use strong detergent soaps and rough scrub pads. However, scrubbing will not improve acne, but worsens it. Astringents are not recommended unless the skin is very oily, and then they should be used only on oily spots.

Shaving and Acne:
Men and teenage boys who have acne and do shave daily can test both electric and safety razors to see which is more comfortable. People who use a safety razor should use a sharp blade and soften their beard thoroughly with soap and water before applying shaving cream.

Avoid Frequent Handling of Your Skin:
People should avoid rubbing and touching their skin lesions. Please don't pop pimples, or you'll get scars.

Avoid Sunburns and Tanning:
A sunburn that reddens the skin or suntan that darkens the skin may make blemishes less visible and make the skin feel drier. However, these benefits are only temporary, and there are known risks of excessive sun exposure, such as more rapid skin aging and a risk of developing skin cancer.

Choosing Makeup:
All cosmetics should be oil free, and labeled as noncomedogenic.
